Forlini's Restaurant has been family owned and operated since 1943. It is located on the outskirts of Chinatown at 93 Baxter Street, behind the court buildings and just south of Canal Street. It is Chinatown's "Best kept secret". Experience traditional Northern Italian Cuisine served on tables covered with white linen. The walls of their two large dining rooms are graced by oil paintings, murals and hand carved wood panels. Private parties of up to 75 are easily accommodated. There is a separate bar and cocktail lounge with TV and Juke Box.
During the hustle & bustle of lunchtime, Forlini's caters to nearby government employees, the court crowd, local merchants, those serving jury duty, and the corporate world. In contrast, the evening dinner atmosphere is calm and inviting. "Opera to Broadway" dinners provide live entertainment.
Forlini's specializes in Northern Italian Specialties such as homemade tortelli, anolini, gnocchi and polenta. Other favorite dishes include: Veal Piccata, Chicken Marsala, Involtini di Gamberi, Veal Chop Valdostana, Osso Buco, and Forlini's Diced Pork Chops. Homemade sauces prepared fresh daily include: Filetto di Pomodoro Sauce, Porcini Mushroom Sauce, Alfredo Sauce, Bolognese Meat Sauce, and Marinara Sauce.
The Kitchen and Bar are open daily from 12 noon to 12 midnight. The complete menu is available for take-out. Next door, discount parking is available Monday through Friday after 5 P.M. and all day Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon
